Great Fan - Terrible Instructions

Great Fan - Terrible Instructions. Bought 4 of these 52 fans after searching the internet for days and never heard of Highland Fans before. When they arrived all but one box was smashed but when I opened the packaging the fans appeared to be okay. One fan had a few of the fan blade screws come off no biggie to open the bowl and dig them out. The first fans took 3 hours to install as the directions are terrible. When I say terrible I mean they skip steps in between the next step and/or don't show decent pictures as to what should be done. I had to stop and redo the process numerous times. When I finished the fan made a clinking noise so I had to remove the covering and tighten things up once more. On to the next fan. Only 2 hours to do this one but same issues directions stink so by the end I have finally figured out how to actually put this thing together without them. Fan 3 30 minutes. Fan 4 20 minutes. Then I noticed some fan switches operated the fan the other the light. None of the switches were the same so I had to open the top plate back off and switch the black electrical wires on 2 of them. Again more time wasted. Now I know why some big box stores charge some old guy $150 to install them each. Anyway all in all all four fans look great and there is only a minimum hum from the one in our Master Bedroom. Fans were perfect for a 15x15 and 10x11 rooms. They're not Harbor Breeze or Hunter Fans but they don't cost like they do either. Fair price. I just wish the foreign manufactures would hire someone who speaks and writes in English to come up with good directions. I can go on and on but the really BAD part about these are the directions very lacking and a few initial rattles and a very tight area to place all the fan light wires into. Can you make that area just a little bit bigger? Would buy again now that I can put them together in about 20 minutes.

We have several of this model for use in bedrooms and office. Looks great. Lighting is terrible.
