Our ceiling fans come with standard downrods for use in rooms with 8" ceilings. If your ceiling is higher, you should consider purchasing a longer downrod to add length for optimal air circulation.

What You Should Know About Fan Downrods

If you are looking to install a ceiling fan in a room with high ceilings, you'll need a downrod to lower your ceiling fan for optimal air circulation. If you're unsure of what lenth you need, please refer to our downrod chart.

Remember to always choose a fan downrod that is compatible with your ceiling fan; typically, the downrod and fan must be the same brand.  Feel free to contact us with any questions! An ALA Certified representative will be happy to assist you.
