Designer Lighting Trends

Snag these cutting-edge designer looks!

The Lighting Industry has seen an influx of exciting new lighting trends! From 19th Century throwbacks to truly cutting-edge designs, there is something stylish for every taste and budget. Look out for these lighting trends  – and be the first to show them off!

  • The "Edison" Look. In upcoming lighting designs, look for exposed "Edison" bulbs. While these designs are Dimond Mont Alto Table Lamphighly modern, they also celebrate lighting's roots! We like the sleek look of the Dimond "Mont Alto" table lamp, available now.
  • Farmhouse Fixtures. A hot lighting trend that is sure to stick around! "Farmhouse" fixtures, featuring open cage designs with candelabra interiors, strike the perfect balance between a fancy chandelier and functional pendant.

Try a farmhouse pendant in your foyer for an inviting touch. Better yet, try it over your kitchen table! This Savoy House "Sheridan" open foyer light (now available) strikes our fancy.
  • Metallic Pendants. Copper and pewter finishes will be a huge lighting trend, particularly with mini pendants. Often combined with vintage/ nautical design undertones, metallic pendants lend a rustic charm to kitchens, foyers, and outdoor spaces.

The Hudson Valley Independence mini pendant is a great use of this lighting trend, and works well in many spaces.
  • Brass is Back! Look for lots of brass finishes in lighting. These aren't the "brass & glass" fixtures you remember from back when – there are lots of uber-stylish brass designs on the horizon! Check out the new "Ferrara" chandelier from Quoizel.
